As the global response to the spread of the coronavirus, or COVID-19, develops, we want to share updates and information with the families who have Israel travel grants.

Whether or not a trip is canceled is not determined by The Jewish Foundation or Jewish Federation. Each trip provider makes the decision, based on current travel restrictions and recommendations.

We know as trips get canceled, you will have questions about your individual travel grant, specifically if you can use the grant at a later date for another trip. We are currently assessing how to handle grants moving forward and will update this page with more information soon. This is a rapidly-evolving situation, and there are many factors to consider.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find out the status of my trip?

Please contact your trip provider directly. Cincy Journeys, The Jewish Foundation, and the Jewish Federation do not make decisions about whether or not a trip is canceled. That is up to the individual trip provider, based on travel restrictions and recommendations.

What happens if my trip gets canceled?

We know that it is likely upcoming trips will get canceled as travel restrictions increase. If that happens, please work with your trip provider to resolve immediate concerns and questions, including possible refunds or rescheduling your trip. For families unable to reschedule their trip for a later date, we are working on a solution regarding the possibility of issuing new grants, including for students who are nearing the end of qualification based on their age.

I still have questions. Who should I contact?

We are experiencing a high volume of phone calls about Cincy Journeys grants. Please email Jennifer Clark at jclark@jfedcin.org with your questions. She will return your email within five business days.
