Up to $2,400 available for overnight Jewish camp counselors/staff!

The Fellowship will be available for Cincinnati Jewish young adults from age 18 (or after high school) to age 26 to work at an approved Jewish overnight camp in the United States or Canada. The fellowship will include the following grant for a work contract of at least 8 weeks:

  • $1,200 for new counselors/staff
  • $2,400 for returning counselors/staff

Prorated grants will be provided for those who fulfill work contracts of at least 4 weeks. No grant will be provided if a Fellow does not complete the work contract.

Camp fellows are required to complete professional development provided by the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati. For 2024, we have planned the following professional development days.

  • Friday, May 10, from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m.
    • We will spend until 5:00 on professional development topics, then have a social networking event until 6:00 p.m. with Jewish professionals who have benefited from their camp backgrounds.
  • Wednesday, August 7, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

We highly encourage fellows to attend these events in person. However, for applicants who have existing conflicts, then at-home work can be completed.

In addition, every fellow will be required to conduct an informational interview or shadow a senior camp professional during camp as well as complete a reflection project after camp.
