Post-High School Israel Travel

Grant Eligibility Requirements

AGE

  • Applicant must be ages 18-26

 

RELIGION

  • Applicant must have at least one Jewish parent or have converted to Judaism
  • Applicant must identify with Jewish faith at time application is made

 

FINANCIAL STATUS

  • Not taken into consideration

 

CINCINNATI RESIDENCE

  • If applicant is currently attending college outside of the Cincinnati area, parent or guardian must be a permanent resident of the Greater Cincinnati area, and must have maintained this residency for at least a year
  • Applicant does not have to attend or have graduated from a Greater Cincinnati college
  • If a college graduate, applicant must be employed in Greater Cincinnati and have lived in the area for at least 12 months
  • Former Israelis must have lived in the United States for a minimum of 10 years, Cincinnati residency requirements also apply

 

TRIP LENGTH

  • Minimum of two weeks in Israel

 

GRANT LIMIT

  • $8,000

 

PREVIOUS ISRAEL TRAVEL

  • Previous travel to Israel has no impact on grant eligibility
  • Students can access a post-high school travel grant only once

 

PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS

  • Repay the grant in full if student subsequently does not go to Israel
